About Jane: Jane Garnett, LMFT, is an Oxford-educated therapist, author, speaker, coach, and filmmaker who helps people move beyond inherited stories and reconnect with their creativity, agency, and sense of aliveness. With nearly two decades of experience in private practice, Jane blends attachment-focused EMDR, somatic approaches, mindfulness, depth psychology, and spiritual exploration in her work with individuals navigating transitions, relationships, identity, and emotional stuckness. Before becoming a therapist, she worked in Hollywood and helped launch Appian Way Productions with Leonardo DiCaprio, later producing film and documentary projects. Today, through her therapy practice, writing, speaking, and creative work, Jane explores how we can become the authors of our own lives rather than simply performing roles shaped by family, culture, and expectation.
